Diet and Cancer - New Degree at Aberdeen University
This post follows on from one I wrote last week about The Rowett Institute for Nutrition and Health. Aberdeen University (which now includes the Rowett, following their merger in July 2008) have announced a new degree in Public Health Nutrition, you can read more about it on the Aberdeen University News website.
The degree is an MSc, a postgraduate degree, what this means is you need to have been to university already and graduated with an (undergraduate) degree before you can take the course. Aberdeen University are hoping people with biology qualifications, such as biochemistry, nutrition or biomedical science will take the degree to learn more about how diet affects our health (including diseases such as cancer and heart disease).
The Rowett has an excellent reputation, worldwide for its research into nutrition, so hopefully, this will be a worthwhile and popular course.
